The honest answer to the most searched question: there is no daily figure, and this is as close as it gets.
First things first. No official body publishes how many people arrive in Spain each day. The Ministry of the Interior publishes, every fortnight, a cumulative total from 1 January. Any “today” figure you see elsewhere is an estimate or an invention. What does exist is the daily average of a closed period, and that is what you will find here.
Average = arrivals in the period divided by its days.
Why there is no daily figure
Arrivals are recorded at each point of entry (a port in the Canaries, the Ceuta fence, a beach in Almería) and consolidated into a provisional report every fortnight. Media sometimes report a specific day when the coastguard or a government delegation announces a rescue, but that is not a series: those are isolated events.
That is why this site has no counter. It has the average of the latest closed fortnight, always labelled as an average and never as “today”.
